Looks like it could be either PIR or an airport full of defective Boeings.
Edit: for the uninitiated, PIR is Phoenix International Raceway. It’s actually located in Goodyear.
I was spot on, it was a brushfire in Goodyear. Looks to be on the Gila River right next to PIR.

What's PIR?

In airport terms, it’s Pierre Regional Airport, in South Dakota.
But I’m guessing the OP meant Phoenix International Raceway. It’s just worded a little awkwardly.

What’s with the attitude? There are a zillion things with the abbreviation PIR. Pieree Regional Airport isn’t even on the first 10 pages of a Google search for PIR. Why would I assume it’s an airport, when the OP says “ or an airport...”, which strongly implies PIR is not an airport (there are multiple racetracks abbreviated PIR, for example).

Looks to be pretty close to it.

In fairness, PIR did not turn up any airport results on the first page of Google results.
Portland International Raceway was on the first page, along with a bunch of other random crap.

Locally, it’s usually just called PIR.

He mentioned Boeing so I was thinking Everett, WA, and the closest PIR would be Portland International Raceway.

Not a whole lot of greasewood bushes in Everett. United Airlines stored a bunch of Max’s at the Goodyear Airport.

Funny, isn’t it, that when you swing that hard and miss, you end up falling on your face, typically with much laughter from the observers.

I was supposed to be out there right now (Flagstaff/Sedona) but we held off just as the Covid lockdowns started. I guess it was a good move since all of us across the sunbelt are getting hammered now.
I was shocked at how few masks I saw at the mall today, or at Home Depot here in AL. It’s like people don’t read the news or something.
We’re already preparing for homeschooling in the fall, which might not be all bad if we can still take the kids out there in October...

I think the people getting and spreading it now are all the morons in Scottsdale and Tempe who thought going to clubs and bars packed full of people was a good idea. Masks are now compulsury in Maricopa county. I’ll be in Tucson tomorrow where masks are required for anyone over 2 yo. Not sure how you get a three year old to wear a mask.
Coconino county still has less than 2k cases, but the Navajo Nation got absolutely hammered during the initial wave.

Problem is those morons will end up spreading it to non-morons too.
B elieve it or not, my 3 year old has been fine wearing a mask on the few occasions it's been necessary. He'll tug at it a bit and put his fingers on his face, but he hasn't fought it. We were surprised.

We’ve got a mandate starting Monday, should be fun (we’ve worn them since late March, so no change there). It wasn’t really political, but it sure seems like it’s gotten that way. The entire cornerstone of the “libertarian freedom” screaming is that your actions aren’t hurting anyone else. Not the case here, but people shouldn’t let facts get in the way of their choices.

The masks are the very bare minimum. Touching your face and pulling at it really negates the little they do. I taught preschoolers last year. Ain’t no way you’re getting these kids to wear a mask all day. Half the adult grocery store workers I see are wearing them improperly.

We get that (wife is a doctor) and we’re working on him. Right now there isn’t a lot of need for him to wear it. Only the occasional shopping trip really. But by fall he’s likely to be required to wear it at school.
Yeah it’s amazing how many adults seem clueless on how to wear one. My wife even sees hospital staff doing it wrong.
